چکیده

Abstract Textile wastewater from wet processing units is a major environmental problem. Most chemicals, including dyes, are only partly consumed, resulting in highly colored containing variety of chemicals released into the environment. This paper gives information on current management textile Tanzania. A semiquantitative analysis was done to identify main types used units, characteristics and existing treatment methods industry. The performance evaluation plants also discussed. advantages integrating constructed wetlands with facilities for explained. It has been observed that pretreatment dying/printing fabrics two processes produce many companies. Main pollutants materials removed de-sizing, bleaching scouring processes. Dyes, printing pigments dye auxiliaries dyeing/printing process. companies Tanzania equipped effluent plants. Wastewater have basically similar which coagulation-flocculation, sedimentation through clarifiers aerobic reactor. However, their effluents do not meet discharge limits stipulated by Bureau Standards (TBS).

Biosorption of Baftkar textile effluent.

Decolourization of wastewater from a textile plant by a marine Aspergillus niger was studied. The fungus was previously isolated from Gorgan Bay in the Caspian Sea. The kinetics of decolourization was studied by varying energy sources. The best decolourization was achieved when sucrose was used as source of carbon and energy. NH4+ ion was demonstrated to be the best nitrogen source. Color reduc...

Fouling and cleaning of reverse osmosis membrane applied to membrane bioreactor effluent treating textile wastewater

Membrane bioreactor (MBR) and reverse osmosis (RO) membrane system was applied to the treatment and reclamation of textile wastewater in Thailand. An experiment was carried out to determine the fouling behavior and effect of anti-scalant and biocide addition to flux decline and its recovery through chemical cleaning. The RO unit was operated for one month after which the fouled membranes were c...

Colour Removal Technology Using Ozone in Textile Industrial Wastewater Effluent: an Overview

The elimination of pollutants from waste water is a serious challenge that needs to be addressed. The conventional treatment process has limitation of not completely removing colour from wastewater. Oxidation with ozone proves to be one of the most efficient methods of treatment of colored aqueous effluent from textile industries. The study highlights the importance of ozone in colour removal t...
